Google now testing Ice Cream Sandwich internally

According to a Google+ update, Google has given its employees a version of Android Ice Cream Sandwich for testing.
This process, known as dogfooding, is a common way of testing software before a public release. Naturally this has set tongues wagging, and we’re expecting the latest build of Android, Ice Cream Sandwich, to become widely available to the public fairly imminently.
The news comes courtesy of Google’s AdSense policy applications and signals developer Adel Saoud who posted this earlier today:
“Just got Ice-cream Sandwich update on my Nexus S & it’s looking great”.
He went on to say that, “…it’s an early one for Google employees so we test it further so it’s even more awesome when you guys get it. So sadly I can’t comment on it more at this time…”
The posts were taken down fairly quickly, but not before they’d been well circulated on Google+ and other websites.
We’ll have our fingers crossed that this means we’ll be seeing Android Ice Cream Sandwich sooner rather than later, but it could still potentially be a number of months before anyone outside of Google gets their hands on the highly anticipated OS.
