Verizon Galaxy Nexus Spotted with Extended Battery, Still Slim

Although Verizon Wireless has yet to release the Galaxy Nexus, we’re pounded with news and rumors about the upcoming smartphone and its official accessories almost every day.

It turns out that Samsung offers those who purchase the Galaxy Nexus a slightly better 2100 mAh Li-Ion extended battery, which is meant to improve the phone’s autonomy.

The Galaxy Nexus comes with a standard 1850 mAh Li-Ion, which has yet to be rated by the manufacturer. Anyway, as seen in the video published by the folks over at Droid-Life, the Galaxy Nexus remains pretty slim even with the extended 2100 mAh battery inside.

However, there’s no telling what impact the extended battery will have on the phone’s autonomy in comparison with the standard battery.

It remains to be seen if the extended battery is really worth the $49.99 (37 EUR) price, as soon as Verizon launches the Galaxy Nexus.
