Sprint’s first LTE device could be the Galaxy Nexus with a 1.5GHz processor

You have to love when ads leak. This one is from Sprint and it shows off the Galaxy Nexus as their first 4G LTE phone. It showed up on the CNET website shortly after Dan Hesse tweeted that Atlanta, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio would be the first LTE markets for Sprint by mid-year.
There’s another twist though. One of the ads clearly states that it has a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. If you remember, this was supposedly the original plan for the Galaxy Nexus, but they went with a 1.2GHz dual-core instead due to a delay in the TI OMAP 1.5GHz chip. This sounds very plausible now as Sprint probably won’t release their version until later in the year.
Hopefully we will get our hands on this bad boy next week at Sprint’s special event during CES. We will certainly let you know more as soon as we hear it
