Samsung Smartphones In India

Samsung has announced a slew of new smartphones running on three different operating systems and featuring exciting new features for the executive on the move. These look cool, are real technological masterpieces, and include Samsung Omnia W, Wave 3 and Galaxy Y.

Samsung Omnia W has pioneered the use of the new mobile operating systemfrom Windows, the Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. This sleek smartphone Samsung Omnia W , weighing a featherweight 115.3 grams and with dimensions of 115.97 x 58.8 x 10.9mm, has a 1.4 GHz processor and 512 MB RAM plus internal memory of 8 GB. For a great viewing experience Omnia W features Super Amoled 3.7-inch WVGA display.

There are many other interesting innovations too that would satisfy the tech-savvy customers - features such as Magnetometer, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Proximity and Ambient Light that make your experience of using this smartphone richer. Professionals always need to keep in touch with their boss or colleagues and Samsung Omnia W smartphone has a VGA cameraspecifically for video calls. In addition there is also a 5 megapixel camera at the rear that serves the regular snapping purpose.

For the all-important connectivity with Internet and various devices Samsung Omnia W features Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, USB 2.0 port and Bluetooth v 2.1. Samsung Wave 3 has a slightly lesser price of Rs. 19, 600, but what is pioneering here is the use of the smartphone OS developed by Samsung itself, the Bada 2.0. Weighing 122 grams, Wave 3 is equipped with a 1.4 MHz processor for powering the Bada 2.0. It comes with an internal memory of 4GB but can be expanded to 32 GB by inserting a micro SD card.

Samsung Wave 3 also features two cameras - a VGA one facing the front for videoconferencing and a 5 megapixel LED flash-equipped rear camera. It also features USB 2.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, WiFi Direct and Bluetooth v3.0 features to ensure good connectivity. Further entertainment requirements are met by a stereo FM radio. A 3.5 mm jack is also provided and Wave 3 features a 1500 mAh Li-on battery. The 4-inch super Amoled WVGA screen offers great resolution. Samsung hasn't failed to load the Wave 3 to the brim as well with high-tech features such as Compass, Accelerometer, Proximity and Light sensors, EDGE, GPRS and HSPA capability and A-GPS/Glonass.

Samsung Galaxy Y has the lowest price in India of all the three new Samsung smartphone additions. Priced at a mere Rs. 7830, Samsung Galaxy Y is powered by an 832 MHz processor and Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system. It's remarkable that the 3G Samsung Galaxy Y actually features a more advanced processor and OS than any other you'd find for this price. It comes with a TFT capacitative 3 inch touchscreen and a 2 megapixel front camera. Bluetooth, USB 2.0 and WiFi connectivity are ensured. Galaxy Y also has external memory of 32 GB, A-GPS, FM radio and 3.5 mm jack. It is equipped with a 1200 mAh battery.
