Still thinking what else you could do with your Android-powered smartphone? Here’s one worth checking out, your own robot that may be programmed using your very own Android device. South Korean company Dongbu Robot is offering its HOVIS kits for those looking to unleash their robot programming skills.
Basically, Dongbu Robot’s Android-compatible products will use the device as its brain, and features may be added via WiFi or bluetooth conenctions. This means being able to come up with your own set of features tailor made for a variety of purpose.
There are several choices for those eager to get one, from wheeled models to robots complete with exoskeleton. Prepare to part with $620 for the basic model.
The robots will also soon have speech recognition with Dongbu Robot working out a deal with SK Telecom to provide the additional feature.
