Samsung Preparing High Resolution Tablet for February, Aiming to Surpass the iPad 3 Retina Display?

Samsung might beat the iPad 3 on its turf, that is innovation and surpass its rumored Retina Display technology. The South Koreans are expected to announce yet another Galaxy Tab at Mobile World Congress in February, a device that will feature a 11.6 inch display and support an incredible 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution.
The slate will run Android Ice Cream Sandwich and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it was a quad core tablet. In spite of being a 11.6 inch device, this unit is described as being about the same size as the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, so it will have an incredibly thin bezel. For now, the processing power on this slate is attributed to the 2GHz dual core Exynos 5250 CPU, but we have to wait and see.
MWC 2012 will be exciting, with HTC showing off both a quad core tablet and smartphone, while ASUS will launch their tablet/phone PadFone and who knows what RIM, Nokia, Apple and the others will surprise us with. Who’s willing to be that the “Retina Display” Galaxy Tab will be subjected to Apple lawsuit?
