Samsung’s mobile phone sales exceed more than 300 M this year

This year has turned out as a long journey for every phone and other device manufacturer. While covering the sales of major market players, we have found in a study that Samsung Electronics, the South Korean manufacturer has sold more than 300 millions of mobile phones across the world in 2011. This is something to think of and no doubt it explains the superiority of Samsung and its demand at every corner of the globe.

By claiming its name on the second position Samsung has also challenged its major rival Apple Inc. and went ahead of it in terms of sales. It has worked real hard to prove how much it can offer through its line of smartphones, tablets and other devices. Apart from Samsung, the first position still goes to Nokia, the major mobile phone seller in the global market. It took just one year to come to this position and all the credits goes to Samsung itself as it has provided its customers with a wide range of products to choose from. All in all, the 2011 was a lucky year for Samsung Electronics and it is looking forward for 2012 as well to turn out to be luckier.
The sales could have been increased if the rivalry between Samsung and Apple wouldn’t have started. As Apple sued Samsung and legally stopped the sales of Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 in Australia, its business was widely affected. Yet, Samsung won the months old rivalry and is permitted to sell its Galaxy Tab in Australia.
It was in the month of November 2011 when the sales of Samsung’s mobile phones crossed the target of 300 millions as announced by a spokesman on Sunday. Calculating this estimation, it has sold around nine handsets per second and 820,000 handsets in a day. Considering the cumulative sales of phones from Samsung, the amount goes to 1.6 million since the year 1988.
Its leading Galaxy smartphones that have widely increased its sales and reliability were sold more than 10 million in 2011, going beyond the sales of Apple and Nokia to become the top manufacturer in the global smartphone market.
