Samsung’s Mobile Display Division has released a new concept video of what the transparent, flexible tablet of the future might look like. In their future smartphone’s will unfold into tablet, with the transparent sheet being used to frame photos, enable augmented reality style translation and geo-location services, and show gesture-controlled digital magazines.
We’re a long way from an actual production on the level of what Samsung’s proposing, but this doesn’t mean they aren’t going to try as we are expecting them first flexible-display AMOLED products in 2012. It’s won’t be this advanced but its the first step towards it.
