Samsung’s latest TV spot for the Galaxy S2 takes some caustic potshots at the iPhone 4S and Apple fanboys, as the enmity between the gadget-makers spills over from the courtroom to the ad campaign video cutting room.

The clip depicts the now-familiar site of obsessive would-be iPhone 4S buyers queuing for aeons outside Apple stores on launch day, before their heads are turned by Fandroids in the vicinity rocking Galaxy S2’s.
Despite being just a minute long, the clip is packed with wry, on-the-money jibes at the Cult of Apple and the pretentions thereof, as well as the spec sheet shortcomings of the iPhone 4S – think: no 4G support, small screen compared to the S2 and issues with its battery life.
Perhaps our favourite taunt, though, is the Macbook-toting hipster featured who proclaims he could, like, ‘never get a Samsung’ because he’s too ‘creative’. Not unreasonably, he’s smacked down instantly - and with Apocalypse Now-style extreme prejudice - when his buddy points out that this self-proclaimed whirlwind of ideas’ day job involves serving coffee.
The ad comes amid an on-going, increasingly acrimonious courtroom contretemps between Samsung and Apple, which has seen the companies pursue a series of tit-for-tat sales embargoes and patent infringements across the globe this year.
