Galaxy Nexus for Verizon handled on video

Well at last, the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been released by Verizon after quite a long wait, and if you are hesitating about picking up the first Android Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone to hit US shores perhaps a nice hands-on video with the Verizon Galaxy Nexus will persuade you to rush out and grab it.
The Verizon Galaxy Nexus hands-on video comes our way courtesy of the guys over at Android Central who got hold of a Verizon version of the Android 4.0 handset and have given the device the once over in an almost six minute video.
The guys put the Verizon Galaxy Nexus in a side-by-side comparison with the AT&T GSM Samsung Galaxy Nexus to start off and then take a closer look at the Verizon version of the device.
Basically both Samsung Galaxy Nexus models are virtually identical with the exception of the rear cover Google logo being replaced for Verizon 4G and apparently the GSM back cover doesn’t fit the Verizon handset as the holding tabs are positioned differently.
The biggest difference between the two though is when you get inside and check out the battery, the Verizon version uses a different battery with a different shape with an 1850mAh battery along with the LTE SIM slot placed differently.
Anyway as not to spoil your enjoyment of the Verizon Galaxy Nexus hands-on footage I’ll stop right there and let you head on down to mash that play button and check it out for yourself
