Samsung’s latest wireless printing devices triumph in BLI environmental tests

Samsung ML-2955DW and SCX-4729FW printers awarded a 4.5 star environmental rating 

 

Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today announced that its environmentally inspired ML-2955DW mono laser printer and SCX-4729FW multifunction device have been awarded a 4.5 star rating for environmental performance by the independent Buyers Laboratory Inc (BLI).

Both devices feature Duplex printing (double-sided printing capabilities) which ensures a longer paper supply to reduce waste and costs, as well as 2 or 4-up printing and a Toner Save setting. The products are also equipped with Samsung’s new Eco Mode function which reduces paper consumption and includes a Results Simulator so businesses can track printer usage. The simulation shows levels of carbon dioxide emissions, electricity and paper used.

The BLI tests carried out in October 2011 report that the Samsung ML-2955DW and SCX-4729FW’s projected annual energy consumption and cost are 26% and 34% lower than average print devices.
