Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 ban to be lifted on Friday

Friday will finally see the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 hitting Australian shelves. An appeals court has reversed the federal court judge’s decision that prevented the sale of the tablet.
The judgment was today handed down by Justice Lindsay Graeme Foster in Sydney’s federal court. A short stay was granted to Apple, meaning Samsung’s tablet will not be available until 4pm on Friday. The stay was granted due to Apple’s wish to prepare for an appeal in the High Court.
The reversal follows Samsung’s claims that Justice Annabelle Bennett, who initially banned the tablet, “misunderstood and misapplied” basic requirements of the law resulting in a “grossly unjust” decision.
