The Samsung Galaxy S II was one of the best phones of 2011 and it’s sucessor the Galaxy S III is already one of the most anticipated phones of 2012, and it’s still only January. Well for those of you interested in the phone there is a new rumor circulating courtesy of the Russian techie Eldar Murtazin. The rumor regards specifications for the device and a possible timeframe for release. Here is what we’ve got:
So if we can believe what we read, the SIII will have an HD resolution display, Ice Cream Sandwich with software tweaks (assume TouchWiz), and a 12 MP camera. Other specs hinted at include a quad-core processor of an unspecified speed (probably 1.5 – 1.6 GHz) and if the above image has any merit the device should be announced at MWC next month in Barcelona with a possible release in April. Other Twitter messages include hints regarding battery life.
He suggests that Samsung has made some tweaks in regards to battery consumption. This isn’t surprising as they have already announced their efforts in regards to better battery life.
So if said Twitter messages can be believed we should see the Galaxy SIII with some decent specs announced at MWC next month and released a little over a month after that. I will remain skeptical for the time being until we see something official come out. But as always keep it locked here for updates regarding this anticipation-building device.
